The Celebration of Life Ball
In November of 2019, our Celebration of Life Ball was held in Carrigaline Court Hotel. There were some prominent Cork businesspeople in attendance, along with many clients of Cork Cancer Care Centre, and some of our psychotherapists, holistic therapists, and volunteers. Once again, the night was a huge success, with lots of fun and dancing by everyone. This Ball offers an opportunity for our clients to mingle with others whose lives have also been turned upside down by a cancer diagnosis.
Before the meal, while people were having a little tipple, we were treated to the resonant sounds of Velvin Lamont.
The wonderful and talented Conor O’Shea – The Loungeman entertained us during our delicious meal, and the dancing afterwards to the fantastic lively The Stars Band was a sight to behold!!
Our huge raffle was very kindly supported by many Cork businesses, and indeed, some further afield. In total, there were in excess of 40 prizes on the night.
This great night helped to raise some much-needed funds for our centre, and a wonderful night was had by all. We are already looking forward to next year!
