Cancer is a very lonely illness and we in Cork Cancer Care Centre are committed to helping those people and their families during a very distressing time. At a time when our services are more vital than ever, clients need our support more than ever.
We are a small charity in operation for the last ten years. Our charity has expanded quite a bit in the last few years, where we now support an average of 30 people per day in our centre who have been affected by cancer. Directly, through our centre, we have helped over 10,000 people who are on, or have been on, a journey with cancer, and indirectly through our Blankets Of Hope initiative, we have handed out over 27,000 blankets (Men, women and children in oncology units, radiotherapy units, haematology wards, ambulances and by post).
